KYN28-12 Key Applications & Operating Conditions

KYN28-12(GZS1) type armoured removable AC metal enclosed switchgear (hereinafter referred to as “switchgear”) is suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems, used to receive and distribute electrical energy and to control, protect and monitor the circuit. The newly developed high-current, high-breaking switchgear can also be used separately as a high-voltage generator outlet.

This product conforms to the standards: GB3906 “3~35kV AC metal enclosed switchgear”, GB/T11022 “High voltage switchgear and control equipment standard common technical requirements”, IEC298 “rated voltage above 1kV 52kV and below AC metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment”.

Installation & Operating Conditions

Ambient air temperature
  • Less than or equal to 40°C
  • Less than or equal to 35°C on average over 24 hours
  • Greater than or equal to -5°C ( -25°C on request)
Altitude
  • Less than or equal to 1000 m
  • Above 1000 m, a derating coefficient is applied (please consult us)
Atmosphere
  • No dust, smoke, corrosive or inflammable gas and vapour, or salt
  • Earthquake intensity: Magnitude 8
Humidity
  • Average relative humidity over a 24-hour period ≤ 95%
  • Average relative humidity over a 1-month period ≤ 90%
  • Average vapour pressure over a 24-hour period ≤ 2.2 kPa
  • Average vapour pressure over a 1-month period ≤ 1.8 kPa
SSE KYN28-12 Features
  • Equipped with a ±0.1mm high-precision line control system, it achieves millimetre-level control of switchgear bending and assembly, achieving a component standardisation rate of ≥99% and a dimensional qualification rate exceeding 99.5%.
  • The cabinet body is constructed from 316L stainless steel with a nano-ceramic coating and is processed, formed, and assembled using high-strength bolts, nuts, and rivets.
  • Compatible with various brands of circuit breakers, including components from brands such as ABB and Siemens, including the domestically produced ZN85-40.5 (3AV3) vacuum circuit breaker and Schneider’s HVX series, to meet diverse user needs.
  • Metal partitions separate each functional compartment in the switchgear, and independent pressure-relief ducts are provided.
  • The circuit breaker, earthing switch, and other operations can be performed with the high-voltage compartment door closed, enabling closed-door operation.
  • Full-Scenario Verification and Intelligent Logistics System: Cabinet Parallel Testing – Real-World Simulation. Full-Scenario Simulation Testing: Load Simulation, Emergency Operation Verification (Opening and Closing Response Time ≤ 20ms), Multi-Device Linkage Testing (Protection Device/Transformer Coordination Error <1%), Triple Performance Verification: Passed a 72-hour full-load temperature rise test and a mechanical lifespan test of ≥10,000 cycles

Switchgear is typically an enclosed system designed to distribute power safely, often connecting to transformers or motor control centres (MCCs), and may include devices such as variable speed drives or power distribution products. Choosing the correct switchgear involves more than matching voltage ratings.

Why Choose SSE Electric

Quality Control You Can See Before Shipment

Capabilities that reduce your project risk, not just features on a spec sheet. Switchgear procurement often breaks down when drawings, fault levels, separation forms, protection requirements and site constraints are handled in isolation. We convert those inputs into an accountable, review-ready solution.

Verified Components Before They Enter Your Switchgear

Every reliable switchgear starts with controlled incoming materials. We inspect critical components for quality—checking ratings, quantities, appearance, certificates, and supplier traceability—before assembly to avoid hidden issues.
